Our experiences of implementing different solutions in different industries across the last 30 odd years
Having seen what happens when an implementation goes wrong, our exclusive Blueprint tool, that we’ve designed and built within Business Central, helps manage the entire implementation process from scope definition through to post go live, covering tasks, responsibilities, gaps, data, documentation and progress, to provide transparency for the entire implementation team.
Once you’re live, our custom built helpdesk within Business Central will help manage ongoing support giving you up to date status of any queries, at any time, and putting you in control.
If you’re looking to understand how much it would cost to implement Business Central, in our experience, it could range from around £15k through to £250k+. There are many factors that influence cost and timescale, not least complexity, scope, data quality, decision making capacity, degree of change and staff availability for the project.
A project worth around £15k will be a straightforward financial only implementation, making the most of the reporting and data insight capabilities in Business Central, and taking around 2 months. A £250k+ implementation will be for a complex manufacturing / service / job based implementation that is looking to automate processes, change the way people interact with data and systems, and develop reporting that isn’t currently done effectively, taking around 18 months to 2 years to complete.
An average, reasonably straightforward manufacturing implementation normally takes between 6 -12 months to complete, at a cost of around £70k – £150k.
An implementation involving CRM, sales, orders, stock control, purchasing and financials is around 6 – months at a cost of approximately £70k.
Why us?
As a company, we’ve worked with hundreds of clients to get them up and running with accounting and operational software ranging from Xero, to Sage to Business Central.
We’ve also worked on SAP, Oracle and BaaN implementations and have significant experience of what it means to build a successful implementation. We’ve sat on both sides of the fence when it comes to implementing new systems – we’ve been the receiver of change as well as the instigator.
We understand that people in different roles have different points of view and different fears and aspirations around change. Putting a new system in is not just about the system; it’s a lot about the people and holding their hand through what can often be seen as a very unsettling time.
What we're not
We are not a volume company looking to rapidly onboard a ton of clients in a short space of time. We don’t want you to just use the basics of Business Central if that’s not right for your business.
Where you will get the most benefit from a piece of software like Business Central, is in its ability to be tailored to suit the way you do, and report in a way that gives you valuable insights into your company’s performance so that you can make good decisions in a sensible time frame.
