Simon is a consultant, trainer and speaker with more than 30 years of experience in IT enjoying senior European roles for global FMCG organisations. During this time, he has led software development, systems implementation, IT outsourcing, business change, strategic programme oversight and has also enjoyed key roles in acquisition, consolidation and business recovery activities. Simon brings a significant breadth of experience. He has a real passion for exploiting technology in tackling the many issues that businesses face with a focus on achieving great outcomes.
Simon has implemented SAP, Siebel and many other ERP solutions and here at Maximity is one of our implementation consultants for Business Central. He has leaned on his early career of coding to become quite adept at developing solutions within Business Central. This includes our new implementation toolkit that provides an implementation project plan, clear scope of each implementation, identifying gaps and gap decisions, develop and manage test plans and enhanced data import tools with improved functionality over the standard Business Central tools. This get’s all of the project team working in Business Central from day 1 and gives everyone visibility of progress and their responsibilities.
Simon is also skilled in the use of the Power Platform toolset including app development with Power Apps, automation and approvals with Power Automate and data analysis using Power BI. We really enjoy helping businesses by providing simple and effective solutions using this toolset.
He also has some deep excel knowledge including Visual Basic Development, Excel Query tools for fetching data from other systems and spreadsheets and is always interested to get involved in complex Excel issues. He will evangelise somewhat about the use of tables in excel and is keen on being up to speed with the latest functionality.
